1. (botany) any shrub or herbaceous plant of the genus Acanthus, having white or purplish flowers and spiny decorative leaves, native to the Mediterranean.
2. (architecture) a design based on the acanthus leaf, esp. as used in decoration of Corinthian column capitals.

I owned Impressions Photography, Inc., for 10 years, mainly photographing weddings and portraits. My current interests focus more on commercial and portrait work so I decided to start a new company, Acanthus Productions. Currently the PORTRAIT ART link does not work.
